DATA PROTECTION • The Data Protection Registrar has issued a set of eight guidelines which up-date those originally published in February 1985.
This new series includes a booklet on individual rights which advises computer users on how to prepare for 11 November this year, when individuals can demand access to computer information about themselves.
There are eight titles in the series: Introduction to the Act, The Definitions, The Register and Registration, The Data Protection Principles, Individuals Rights, The Exemptions, Enforcement and Appeals, Summaty for Computer Bureaux.
