• One of the country's largest operators of light vans is entering the contract hire market with the launch of White Arrow Contract Hire.
GUS Transport is best known for its fleet of White Arrow home delivery vans and the company is planning to capitalise on this experience by entering the contract hire market both for light vans, cars and, in the future, heavier vehicles.
Martin Roe, GUS Transport's marketing manager, says White Arrow Contract Hire will take advantage of the buying power of GUS Transport to offer competitive rates and will make use of the company's existing 30 service centres nationwide.
White Arrow Contract Hire plans to offer a whole range of contract hire arrangements to customers, including full maintenance, fleet management and back-up from AA National Relay. There are also plans to buy customer's existing fleets and lease back the vehicles.
Roe says: "We feel sure that a market place beset with many names of unknown pedigree will welcome the entry of White Arrow with its well established credentials."
