IN ACCORDANCE. with our promise in our last week's issue, we publish below a preliminary list. Of the towns and cities with which we intend to .deal in connection with our parking plans for visiting .coaches. 4s we have already intimated, our main object in Publishing this list is to ascertain from coach owners and drivers their yiews upon the actual sequential importance of the various eentres, so that we may publish the plans in the order in .which they atemost

likely to be appreciated. .

It is as well to state at this point• that we have already published official information aided, by maps concerning the parking arrangements made in 31 different towns and 'cities, these being, in order. of publication ;—Oxford Norwich, Cardiff, Clacton-on-Sea, Carnarvon, Penzance, Portsmouth, Canterbury, Exeter, Weymouth, York, Worcester, Llandudno, -Bournemouth, Matlock, Basingstoke, Penrith, Chester, Ashbourne, Salisbury, Elgin, Blackpool, Waged, Dumfries, Scarborough, Hastings, Margate, Buxton, Thrisk, Forfar and Leicester.

IL will be seen that included in the complete list are most al the prominent coaching centres in England, Scotland and Wales So far as the list a parking plane in hand is concerned, we shall appreciate the opinions of drivers and owners concerning the relative importance, of each.

stone, Newquay and Whitby. . . MAIDSTONE.—As in former years, chars-a-banes visiting this Wien Will be alloWed to set down and pick up their passengers

in Palace Avenue which is located off Mill Street. The coaches will be permitted to remain in Palace Avenue (which is a cul-de-sac). No charge is made for parking.

NEWQrA.Y.—No parking arrangements are made by the police in the Borough of icenuay. Visiting coaches usually drive through the town and discharge their passengers outside the fire station in Geantotle Street, subsequently being driven a short distance to a piece of ground belonging to the Central Garage Co., iyhieh is situated at the rear of Hawke's Factory. This site will accommodate 35 motor coaches. WHITBY.—During the past two years motor coaches visiting Whitby have been parked on Scotch Head on payment of a charge of is. per day or any part of a day. On busy occasions, such as regatta days, etc., these vehicles are allowed to stand within the Spa Grounds on payment of 2s. 6d.
