• Eurotunnel is adding an extra departure an hour in each direction during peak periods for freight.
The extra departure, making five an hour, is part of the company's plan to double its freight capacity by 2003. Eurotunnel has already taken delivery of two more shuttles and plans six more; eventually this will mean it can carry 5,000 trucks per day.
