Atherton-based heavy haulier J Fisher and Sons has bought its fifth King GTS-44 stepframe low-loader It has a payload of just under 36 tonnes with a four-beam main-rail structure; 19.5in wheels with 265/70 tyres reduce deck height and allow a loading angle of just 9' while a self-tracking rear axle cuts tyre wear and boosts manoeuvrability.
King supplied Fisher with a loan trailer as part of the selection process for its first GTS-44; Gary Fisher says he found King's flexible approach "a breath of fresh air".
