• The Autopartac exhibition, held in Olympia 2, London, was a busy show attended by trade-only visitors. Interface Technologies (see page 5) used the show to launch two new Nulon products.

Another exhibitor, Potteries Diesel Service, announced "aggressive" plans to develop its network for the Trent range of automotive electrics and fuel-injection products; a new factory is producing 60,000 units a year.

The new factory produces, for instance, remanufactured alternators, starters, dynamos, fuel pumps and turbochargers.

An addition to the Lucas B90 programme includes the "black boxes" that control electronic ignition and fuelling equipment.

Lucas Automotive Turbo 87 • Century Oils is an independent British lubricants company with associate companies in 11 countries. In addition to its regional distribution centres and transport fleet, lubricant centres carry an extensive range, including mineral and synthetic oils suitable for diesel and petrol engines.

Century Oils Turbo 88 • 1st Formula, the trademark of Henlands, is a penetrating lubricant available to the tradeonly in five-litre pack for garages and workshops and in aerosols generally. The product includes some compounds not generally used in other penetrating lubricants. This solvent is not a chlorinated hydrocarbon.

Several other products used include silicon as the non-stick ingredient, which corrodes cellulose paint.
