• British Car Auctions has changed it name to ADT Auctions. The BCA Group merged with ADT in 1987. ADT mainly operates security and auction services throughout America, Europe and Australasia.
The name change brings BCA fully under the ADT banner by adopting its name and this has the additional advantage of dropping the word car since there is now a heavy programme of commercial vehicle auctions and plant sales.
A 210 million auction complex opens in May at Belle Vue, Manchester.
