Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SOUTH WALES haulier has joined forces with British Rail to provide additional volume on its services to Britain and Europe.

Gerald David Evans Transport, of Llantrisant, is using a siding off BR's main line at Pontyclun, Mid Glamorgan. The site is also close to the M4 and is 12 miles from Cardiff.

Access to BR's Speedlink wagonload distribution service means Evans can send goods in 24 to 54 tonne payload rail wagons, and the company believes the service is more economic than road for journeys of more than 200 miles.

It also believes that the rail system is less prone to delay than the route over the Severn Bridge, which causes difficulties already for heavy loads and which is unlikely to be joined by a second crossing before the end of the century.
