Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Transport 2000 is not beyond redemption. It at least has a sense of humour, which is more than can be said for the supporters of Women's Lib,

The Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain combined with Transport 2000 to stage an exhibition of transport cartoons at, appropriately, Euston Station. Contributors included Jak, Frank Dickens, Honeysett and Ken Pyne.

One of the cartoons, topical at the time of the tanker drivers' strike, showed a group of men with petrol cans and other vessels hiding behind a hedge and using as a decoy a girl who was displaying a shapely thigh to ambush an approaching Texaco driver.

On the ground below it was a printed label with the legend: "This degrades women." it was too pathetic even to stick.

Inevitably, nearly all the jokes were at the expense of road users, but one or two cartoons suggested that even railway travel was not always ideal. All of them were pearls, cast, alas, largely before commuting swine, I saw two men laughing outright. Another allowed a hint of a momentary smile to pass across his thin lips. The rest stared in po-faced abstraction. I have seen people react with greater animation to a roll of lino.
