A fire-proof turbo pump capable of handling and transferring highly inflammable liquids from road tankers involved in road accidents, has been introduced by Gilbert Gilkes and Gordon.
Designed to operate from the standard hose connections on a fire engine, it weighs 63Ib (28kg) and is fitted with collapsible handles. When operating with a supply pressure of 100 psi, the pump will discharge 40 gpm against a pressure of 35 psi with suction pressure 0 to 5 psi.
The pump is constructed from bronze and stainless steel components resistant to water corrosion.
