Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Common Road, Stafford, specially for fixing flooring materials. Known as Evo-Stick Adhesive 873, it is a synthetic. rubber-resin emulsion -adhesive and is claimed to give a permanent bond to P.V.C. and rubber floor tiles and sheeting, linoleum, and any feltor hessian-backed floor-covering material on concrete, cement Screeds, timber, hardboard and other porous subfloors.

Other claims made for the material are good water resistance and the ability to withstand high temperatures which makes it suitable for use.where underfloor heating systems are installed.

Application of the adhesive should be by brush, or serrated trowel, in most cases to the floor surface only. The flooring material is then placed in position and pressed firmly down to ensure overall contact. In the case of asphalt floors, however, it is necessary to apply a coat of adhesive to the asphalt as well as one to the floor covering material, allowing them both to dry before laying down the floor covering.

One gallon of Evo-Stik Adhesive 873 is said to be sufficient to cover about 20 sq. yd., depending on the porosity of the surfaces.
