i■ "GOODS VEHICLE YEARBOOK" .1-1, has been issued by the Modern Transport Publishing Co., Ltd., 3/16 Woburn Place, London, W.C.1, at 25s., or 27s. postage paid.

In the foreword it is claimed that this publication has been produced to fill a need by providing more information relative to Britain's road transport fleets. The contents include a technical review of new goods vehicles, designs and equipment with abridged road test reports. A further 16 pages are devoted to particulars and addresses of various organizations concerned with road transport, whilst corresponding information relative to the manufacturers of vehicles, trailers, body builders and equipment, including materials handling, is given in the following 45 pages.

Whilst no claim to completeness is made, a major section of this yearbook is given over to particulars of haulage fleets' and traders' transport fleets. Approximately 400 hauliers are included with details regarding the size and composition of their fleets, Ancillary fleets total around 1,200 whilst there is a further index of fleets relative to counties, thus providing a handy geographical guide.
