Welcome Bruce, farewell Euan

Renault Trucks UK has named Bruce Allison as its new marketing director. He replaces Euan Harron who is emigrating to Canada.

Allison has spent the past five years running the used vehicle dMsion, covering exports as well as domestic sales: he set up the Choice Used Vehicle Programme with its network of 30 approved dealers.

"I am delighted to be taking up the challenge of directing Renault Trucks' marketing activity at this important time in our company's development," he says.

"Over the past five years Euan Herron has led the marketing department with commitment, intellectual strength and above all a great passion for Renault Trucks and the industry in general. I intend to follow these principlescoupled, of course, with my own style and ideas."

Allison has more than 30 years' experience in the industry, including spells with lveco and the Volvo dealership Crossroads Truck and Bus.

Stepping into his shoes will be Chris Sharp, who joined the company in 2000 and is currently general sales manager for used trucks. Sharp's new title will be operations manager used vehicles.
