• Britain's removals companies are supporting moves to lower the HGV driving limit from 7.5 tonnes to 3.5 tonnes.
Bert Waddington, newly elected president of the British Association of Removers, has met Transport Secretary Paul Channon to express the BAR's support for the move, but Waddington denies that the BAR is attempting to restrict do-it-yourself moves. "It is a ludicrous situation at the moment," he says.
