IMPA FORK TRUCK SEMINARS
• The Institute of Materials Management is planning to hold five one-day seminars to discuss the HSE code of practice for the basic training of counter-balanced and reach-lift fork-truck operators.
Intended for managers, engineers, supervisors and safety training officers, the seminars will be held on: 8 September at the Post House Hotel in Reading; 13 September at the St John's Swallow Hotel in Solihull; 15 September at the Novotel Manchester West in Manchester; 20 September at the Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds; and at the MOTEC Livingston in West Lothian, Scotland on 28 September.

BURSARIES FOR TRAINING • Sachs Automotive Components is offering training bursaries to promote product knowledge, business acumen and customer service.
The company will award bursaries to UK applicants who are studying, or wish to study, either general management, marketing and sales, or those

who wish to develop special skills, such as computing. Bursaries range up to 2800, depending on company size and the course chosen.
Companies entering employees must be full members of the Motor Factors Association, or be affiliated to the Factoring Services Group, and must be customers of Sachs clutches or shock absorbers. Private individuals may also apply but they must be employed by qualified companies.
