KEYPAD MOBILE RADIO • A Band III keypad mobile radio is now available from Philips Telecom. The TSM3OD is used with standard MX295 Band HI equipment and comes with full licencing requirements. A base station version and data facilities are also available. For more information contact: Philips Telecom, PO Box 24, St Andrews Road, Cambridge CB4 1DP, or phone (0223) 61222.

FORKLIFT MASTER • ANT Teleconununications has designed a despatch controller for forklift truck drivers which eliminates the need for drivers to leave their cabs. Known as Forklift Master, the unit is an addition to the modular D600 radio paging system. It has been constructed as a heavy-duty industrial unit, is weather protected, and can give up to three watts output to overcome noise.

All enquiries to ANT Telecommunications, 17 Liverpool Road, Slough, Berks, or phone (0753) 820242.

24-HOUR SERVICE CALL

• British Telecom has introduced Service-Call for companies needing to operate a call-out customer service.

The company says that Service-Call is appropriate for freight transportation and road haulage firms, as it provides 24-hour individualised cover throughout the year. If a customer makes a call in unsocial hours, it is automatically routed to British Telecom operators at service centres in Bristol and Ealing. The operators determine the urgency of each call and then contact the relevant company employee. ServiceCall costs from 275 a month.
