The TM 8x8 combination is powered by the AWD-Bedford 8.2-litre 153kW turbocharged diesel, with a six-speed synchromesh gearbox and twospeed transfer box with selectable 8x8 or 8x6 drive.

The Multidrive system uses a steered bogie with propshaft-driven axles on a trailer which has a turntable in place of a fifth-wheel coupling, Payloads of up to 25 tonnes can be carried.
