E. THE CM Energy Conference earlier this month, Michael Dnaghan of Ricardo was of the opinion that high octane petrol 11 disappear within the next decade.

Although reported correctly in the text of our report, the ption to Mr Monaghan's photograph implied that the petrol gine would come to the end of its life during this period. Ricardo does in fact believe that the petrol engine will atinue to be the main power unit for the passenger car as long petroleum-type fuels are available.
