Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• King Truck Engineering Ltd, Market Harborough, has introduced a lighter version of its SWR range of machinery carriers, suitable for general haulage. Designated the King KSF, there are four basic models, two single-axle, and two tandem axle.

Single axle trailers are plated at 16 tons gcw and 18 tons gcw and have overall lengths, varying by 2ft increments, from 30ft to 40ft and main deck lengths of 21ft to 31ft. Payload capacity for the 18 tons gcw trailer is approximately 12 tons.

Tandem-axle semi-trailers are plated at 24 tons gcw and 30 tons gcw and are available at overall lengths, again in 2ft increments, between 29.5 ft and 39.5ft, main deck lengths being 20ft to 30ft. Payload for the 30 tons gcw model is approximately 22 tons.

Rolled steel channel-section side rails are used to withstand the forces of rope or chain lashings. The fifth-wheel coupling-plate is reinforced with channel section crossmembers.

York axles, suspensions, and brakes are standard, as is two-speed wheel-type landing gear.
