• Two papers will be presented to the APPTO annual conference in Eastbourne this September, one of them with the intriguing title "Don't be scared of a dirty word" (a plea for a new thought about the financial problems of the industry). This will be given by Mr J. Brooksbank, director of finance and administration, Merseyside PTE.
The second paper will be "Development of the Leyland National Bus" by Mr M. T. Smith, general manager, Leyland National Ltd.
