As from July 17 the test fee for vans and cars will be raised from £1.25 to £1.70, Mr Peyton told the Commons on Monday when he laid before Parliament the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1972.
As from November 1 1972 the test fee for commercial vehicles, irrespective of the number of axles, will be £6; for trailers it will be £4. Re-test fees will be £4 for vehicles, £2 for trailers.
