BERIC Ltd., through its subsidiary St. Albans Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd., has acquired the haulage contracting business of William Truckel Ltd., Globe Works, Patcham Terrace, Battersea Park Road, SW8.
Truckel operates a fleet of 34 vehicles comprising fourand six-wheel tippers, cement tankers, and container units with skips of the kind left on site to hold builders' rubbish and rubble. The St. Albans Group, through its subsidiaries, is now one of the largest operators of container units.
Mr. Alex Shutes and Mr. A. A. Shutes, directors of St. Albans, have become directors of William Truckel. Mr. C. A. Nicholls, the former managing director, is to remain with the company in an advisory capacity for a term of years.
