Tottoa, Southampton (Stand 472 C), will have six tractors for inspection. fhese will all be the Model B type, to which will be fitted various auxiliary attachments. The Model B tractor is powered by a fourcylindered four-stroke engine, the belt h.p. of which is 19 when running on paraffin.

A multi-purpose type of power loader fitted to a Nuffield tractor, will be an exhibit of T. Baker and Sons, Ltd., Compton, Berks. on Stand 494 C. Of the hydraulic type, its maximum load capacity is 7 cwt., the normal capacity of the sand and gravel bucket being 7 cubic-ft. It can be fitted to the tractor in about three •hours, but as the undercarriage is not removed when the tractor• is required for other duties, the subsequent fitting of the jib arms can be accomplished in about 30 minutes.

A full range of Bristol tractors will be available on Stand 264 C. These models, made by Bristol Tractors, Ltd., Earby, Lancs, are built on the unit assembly

• principle and incorporate the Austin industrial power unit, which develops 22 b.h.p. at 1.500 r.p.m. The Bristol Industrial model will be demonstrated with a Montgomerie Reid angledozer blade.

The B.M.B. President four-wheeled tractor is a new product which will be introduced by Workhouse Engineering (Southport), Ltd., Crossens. Southport, Lanes, on Stand 424 B. The President is powered by a Morris 8-10 h.p. engine which is supplied for running on either petrol or T.V.O. This tractor has hydraulic lifting gear, but hand-lifting Oar can be fitted if desired. . The weight of the tractor is only 121 cwt.

David Brown Cropmasier tractor will be among the exhibits to be displayed by D.B.T. (Sales), Ltd., Meltham, Huddersfield, on Stand 267 E. In addition to a number of Trackmasters and

Cropmasters with a full range of equipment, there will also be demonstration models with agricultural attachments and three new appliances which will be shown for the first •time. These appliances are a 15-cwt. hydraulic bucket loader, a single-furrow one-way plough, and a hydraulic sapper earth-mover.

Various new attachments for the Clifford rotary cultivator will form part of the exhibit of Clifford Airo ant, Auto, Ltd., Spring Road, Hall Green, Birmingham, on Stand 602 E. The Clifford rotary cultivator is a pedestrian controlled machine, powered by a single-cylindered four-stroke air-cooled engine, developing 5 h.p. It is claimed that 21 hours' work can be performed on one gallon of fuel.

Many new implements for attachment to the well-known Ferguson tractor will be demonstrated by Harry Ferguson, Ltd., Coventry. on Stand 245 F. As may be known, the outstanding feature of this make of tractor is its hydraulic system which simplifies the manipulation of the numerous attachments specifically designed for mounting on it.

The Ford Motor Co., Ltd., Dagen ham. will -have 10 Fordson Major tractors .available on Stand 304 D, all of which will be exhibited with different attachments. Eight tractors will be equipped with agricultural implements, and a• half-track model is to be shown with a Co o k e two speed, heavy-duty winch, The other tractor will have a Perkins P6 oil engine and County-type full tracks. In addition to tractors, there will be se Vera I agricultural implements and attachments and earth-moving equipment.

implements and accessories, in addition to three light tractors will be shown on Stand 615 D by GarneriMobile Equipment, Ltd., North Acton Road, London, N.W.10. Two of the smaller tractors are

equipped with 5-6 h.p.

four stroke, single cylindered, aircooled engines, and have three-speed gearboxes, and differentials with independent wheel brakes for power-assisted steering. These machines are intended for operation with a general-purpose plough, seven-tine cultivators, or other such implements. The track is adjustable from 2 ft. 1 in. to 3 ft. 1 in., with a single wheel, and from 2 ft. 5i ins. to 3 ft. 6 ins, with twin wheels.

Gates and Hardy, Ltd., 66 Victoria Street, London, S.W.!, occupying Stand 653 F. will be exhibiting a Powersteer

prototype four-wheel-drive tractor. This new tractor is mounted on four pneumatic-tyred non-articulating wheels, which are all positively driven by the engine. Steering is effected through the special transmission system which operates by varying the speed of the wheels on either side of the tractor. A 12-gallon water tank, complete with sprinkler pipes, is fitted to the tandem water-ballast roller to be shown by Thomas Green and Son, Ltd., of Leeds, on Stand 208 H. This model is powereth by a small petrol engine.

A number of Farmall tractors with various appliances will be exhibited by the international Harvester Company of Great , Britain, Ltd., 259, City Road, London. E.C.1, on Stand 438 B.

On.. Stand 183 E, which will be occupied by FL Leverton and Co., Ltd., Spalding, Lincolnshire, will be a range of implements specifically designed for we on Nuffield, John Deere and Fordson tractors.

On Stand 246 E, Massey-Harris, Ltd., Barton Dock Road. Stretford, Man-

chester, will be showing its 744D-type tractor, together with a range of agricultural equipment.

The largest display of tractors will be found on Stand 146 E, which will be occupied by the. Nuffield Organization, Cowley. Oxford. The Nuffield Organization has arranged to exhibit 13 Universal tractors, including threeand four-wheeled models, and, in addition, a further tractor fitted with a Leverton front coveter and rear toolbar with ridger bodies . will be demonstrated daily in the Grand Ring.

The new John Deere MC crawler tractor will be exhibited for he first time M.this. country by Jack Olding and Co., Ltd., Hatfield, Hells, on Stand

471 D. 'This tractor, 'howered by an h.p. engine, has Combined steering and braking mechanism, and a turning radius of 7 ft. The model exhibited has 12rin.-wide tracks. Three Cater pillar oil-engined tractors will also bc shown, together with the latest 65 h.p. 1)6 model.

A complete range of Atco motor mowers and an Atcoscythe made by Charles H. Pugh, Ltd., Whitworth Works, Birmingham, 9, will be exhibited on Stand 209 H.

Because of the number of its exhibits, Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies, Ltd., Orwell Works, Ipswich, Suffolk, will be occupying two stands, Nos. 109 G and 439 C. Among the exhibits will be a model cropdryer in motion, and an M6.5 tractor, cut away to show the working parts in operation. The MG.5 motor' cultivator is a machine on which the operative rides, and has a singlecylindered four-stroke -petrol engine which produces a pull of approximately 800 lb. at the drawbar. The MG.5 will operate with a Single-furrow plough from 8 to 11 ins, wide and 9 ins, deep, according to the type of body and texture of the soil. It has a capacity to plough one acre in 6 to g hours, the petrol consumption being approxi7 mately 3 to 44 pints per hour. Othei exhibits of this concern will be trailing ploughs, cultivators, toolbar frames, and other agricultural implements.

The latest Unipower forestry tractor, the Hannibal, which has a Gardner 51W oil engine, is staged on Stand 603 E, to be occupied by Universal Fower Drives, Ltd, Aintree Road,

Perivale, Middlesex. At the rear of the tractor is a 3-ton crane with an overhanging jib. A second model to be shown is the Unipower Forester with a Tasker timber carriage equipped with a special trailer connection. The Forester has a tractive effort of 11,000 lb. and the Hannibal 13,000 lb. Also demonstrated on this stand will be an all-steel winch which can be used statically in the mill or in a wood.
