• Prices Transport (Dinas Powys), whose licence was cut 12 months ago, has been successful in obtaining a full five-year renewal at a Car diff public inquiry. Partners Charles and Darren Price had sought continuation in respect of three vehicles. Acting for the company, Norman Lloyd-Edwards said that they had taken the advice given on the last occasion and there had been no convictions or prohibition notices imposed on their vehicles since.
Charles Price said there had been no problems in implementing the system of maintenance recommended. Vehicles had been stopped in spot road checks since and everything was found to be in order.
Granting a five-year licence, South Wales Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh said the partners deserved sincere congratulations.
The last time Price had been before him he had been a very worried man: he now had a smile on his face.
