Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Construction starts this week on a multi-million-pound depot in Cambridgeshire for Turners, despite the threat that a building on the site may have to be moved in the future.

Disruption could occur for the Fordham-based operator at a new greenfield site near the village where Turners (Soham) wants to base 150 vehicles and 150 trailers. The company also plans a cold store and workshop at the 15-acre site.

However, Cambridgeshire County Council may decide on widening the adjacent A421 or building a bypass, which could force Turners to move a building further from the road. Local uproar over depot plans has already meant the local council has demanded screening and landscaping to hide the building.

The site is expected to be completed next spring although the county council has only just started a feasibility study into the required road options at Fordham.

Turners chairman Wallace Turner says: "It's all clear to start and we should be finishing the building in around 40 weeks."

The company bought the site three years ago because the current depot in the village centre is too small.
