• Road/rail distribution company Charterail is set to buy into Railfreight Distribution when the company comes up for sale as part of British Rail's privatisation plan.
The private company is looking to privatisation to extend its railfreight terminal network to 12. Currently Charterail has five terminals and is developing another three.
