Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• 'l'o help hauliers beat the threat of the truck thief Moss Security is offering a wide range of devices, from its special security key to fuel pump cut-offs for diesel engines and alarm systems.

The security key is designed to prevent a vehicle being moved without the insertion of a special double-coded electronic key with its own dedicated holder. Its random coding takes five seconds to generate a signal which opens a diesel fuel shut-off valve on the pump.

It is impossible, Moss claims, to duplicate the key code or its coded command, or to hot-wire the system by applying voltages to the terminals.

Moss Security's fuel cut-off devices are coupled directly and permantly to in-line or rotary injection pumps, making them impossible to bypass. They are encapsulated in epoxy resin and control the fuel flow to an engine either by blocking the flow or by controlling the pump electrics.

For petrol engines immobilisation is achieved by a device that blocks off the ignition coil and cannot be bypassed or hot wired.

Further protection can be added with an integrated L siren alarm system connected to the engine immobilisers, sensors on the doors and engine cover or a closed-loop system for the protection of individual items.

Also offered is an ultrasonic interior sensing system which links to the lights, horn or a 115dB self-powered siren — or to a combination of them all.
