Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANTI-SPRAY REMINDER • The law governing the fitment of spray suppression equipment enters its final stages later this year.

From 1 October 1987, existing goods carrying trailers of more than 16-tonnes maximum gross weight with two or more axles which were manufactured before 1 January 1975 must be fitted with antispray devices on each wheel. The equipment used must satisfy the requirements of BS AU200. Exceptions to the rule include tipping vehicles and pole carriers.

Goods carrying trailers built on or after 1 January 1975 were required to be fitted with anti-spray equipment by 1 October 1986. Trailers of more than 3.5-tonnes maximum gross weight manufactured on or after 1 May 1985 were required to be equipped from the date of first use.

Trucks above 12-tonnes GVW first used on or after 1 April 1986 were also required to be equipped with anti-spray equipment from the date of first use.
