EVERY NOW and then authority evinces a spark of humanity. Tayside Regional Council transport department has done so by issuing a child's bus pass, complete with photograph of Tina, a nine-year-old collie that accompanies its mistress four times a day to and from the nursery where she is matron.
The pass costs £70 a year, compared with daily fares totalling more than £100. Tina hopes that the saving of over £30 a year will be chanelled into chocolate drops.
