MROSE THIRD Axle of Blackburn, Lancashire, has converted 15 ni-trailers to tri-axle 38-tonne configuration as part of a £250,000 uprating programme by international freight forwarders Len.
chose to rebuild the existing dem-bogies, which meant exding them from the centre by 1mm (6in) to allow wide gle tyres on centre-nave eels and fitting a new widelc axle. This was mounted on new Rubery Owen-Rockwell parabolic three-leaf suspension which is said to provide a softer ride under light load conditions than the previous multi-leaf suspension.
