Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE SECOND Distribution Services Show scheduled for October is to be substantially larger than the last event in 1981.

Organiser Gordon Carlton of PEL Communications told CM that 125 exhibitors have already booked space and the final number looks like reaching 135 — 50 per cent more than in 1981. Most exhibitors are providers of distribution services or warehousing but there are many allied companies such as vehicle rental operators, loading systems manufacturers and computer companies.

The Distribution Services Show opens on October 5 at Wembley Conference Centre.

On the previous day, the Centre for Physical Distribution Management will hold a one-day workshop on the role of the third-party service company in distribution.

There will be eight senior executives as speakers, four from distribution service companies, the others from users. They will discuss their policies and future plans for third party distribution.

The workshop will cost £75 plus vat, and details are available from Ray Horsley, CPDM, British Institute of Management, Management House, Cottingham Road, Corby, Northampton shire.
