IRELAND's Post Office has taken on the private sector express courier operators by starting a next-day service from major Irish cities to Europe and Britain.
The Express Mail service, which is linked to the British Datapost service, offers same-day delivery in the Republic of Ireland and next-day delivery in Northern Ireland, Britain, the Netherlands and West Germany. Mail is sorted at Speke Airport, Liverpool.
