Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

which we have taken as part exchange, under our trade plates for hauling trailers between our workshops and other premises from which we sell them?

AThere seems to be no reason why you should not use tractive units taken in part exchange in the way you describe. Section 16 of the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971 states that a trade licence issued to a motor trader may be used for all mechanically propelled vehicles which are in his possession in the course of his business as a motor trader.

This would cover the use of such tractive units under trade plates for any purpose compatible with your business requirements.
