20 MCW-bodied Daimler Fleetlines took place on Friday; 10 have detachable tops and 10 fixed. These are the first Daimlers that the town has ever ordered. Seen here at the ceremony are, left to right: Gk. A. W. Patton, transport committee chairman; Aid. R. S. Morris, Mayor of Bournemouth: Mr. A. Whittaker, deputy chairman of Transport Vehicles (Daimler) Ltd.; and Mr. W. H. Lawrence, sales director of MetropolitanCammell-Weymann Ltd. Mr. Lawrence gave an assurance that he would do all he could to see that Bournemouth's vehicle orders were not affected by the closing of the Add/es/one works. (See also page 51.)
