EMPLOYMENT consultancy Barker Ross Logistics has launched a driver recruitment team, which will be based at its Northampton office, as the demand for quality drivers continues to grow. The driving team will be recruiting for temporary and permanent driving roles, offering
an e-training health and safety programme, and a support package for new starters. The new division will
complement the existing logistics arm of the recruitment company, which already supplies forklift truck, multi-drop, class 1 or 2 drivers, administrators and supervisors.
Simon Gimson, manager of the driving team at Barker Ross Logistics, said the new operation was a "logical step" for the business, as it had been experiencing a growing demand for good quality drivers. He said: "Our dedication to thorough vetting, the fact we put safety first, attracts clients, and the
emphasis we put on candidate care means we have the pick of the drivers.
"Northampton is the best place to run this team out of as the motorway network provides access to logistics and distribution companies along the M1 corridor and is centrally located for the rest of the UK."
