Keeping up the pressure

MA continuous tyre pressure monitoring system has been developed by Pirelli subsidiary CPK Auto Products.

The Tyrewatch system employs micro-electronics and selective radio frequencies with pressure sensors that fit over the tyre valve stems and CPK says that the system is simple enough for operators to fit themselves.

• New legislation governing the temperature foodstuffs must be kept at during distribution has prompted Lucas Kienzle to launch a range of temperature monitoring systems. The Escort monitor is a lithium battery-powered data logger which can be located within a delivery consignment from the point of production.

The range includes meat and fruit probes, a humidity monitor and a waterproof probe that can be submerged for long periods.
