NO DECISION has yet been taken whether the office of Fair Trading will ask the Monopolies and Mergers Comilssion to investigate the car transporter industry (CM, January 23).
The OFT has been looking at the industry for some two years (CM, Jaruary 12, 19801, and is thought likely to want further investigations to be carried out into the industry, but it is not 100 per cent certain whether this will be carried out by the MMC.
