As the BSG 35 Gatemaster does not need an electric lock, the finger operating details of the other systems are thus overcome.
The system is easy to fit as it is mounted on the gate and does not require sizeable holes to be made in the ground as with other gate opening systems. B.S.G. is now able to design gates to work in conjunction with the system if needed. Once the gate is mounted, the Gatemaster can be activated by key switch, telephone entry or by a digital infra-red coded transmitter manufactured by B.S.G.
Equally, suitable for domestic and commercial applications, it can be supplied with a manual over-ride in the event of an electrical breakdown.

Sheets for your orbital sanders
NEW HALF SHEET Stikit abrasives and back-up pad for orbital sanders which claim to knock down body filler up to 50 per cent faster than existing half sheet abrasive systems, have been announced by the Automotive Trade group of 3M.
An addition to the established range of Stikit coated abrasives for vehicle refinishing, these half sheets in 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit are designed for use with a special back-up pad which can be quickly fitted to the customer's existing orbital sander to become a permanent part of the machine.
Equipped with a pressure sensitive adhesive on the back, the Stikit abrasive sheet is merely pressed into place on the back up pad, thereby avoiding the need for fixing clips. This allows quick sheet changing and reduces the risk of breakage in use.

Exhaust bellows for commercials
A RANGE of exhuast bellows for commercial vehicle and industrial diesel engine applications is being marketed by a member of the Bestobell Group, Avica Equipment. The bellows range in diameter from 25mm (1n) to 914mm (36in). Standard exhaust bellows range from 76mm (3in) to 304mm (12in) in diameter.
Avica has available a full test and development department where bellows working movements, pressures and temperatures can be simulated and proved.

Save on retorque downtime .. .
SUBSTANTIAL savings in retorque downtime together with a major reduction in gasket failures can be expected from Nicholson's latest Corruseal allmetal gaskets when fitted to engines, it is claimed.
Corruseal non-retorque gaskets are manufactured by Auto-Gaskets, part of the Nicholson Group, which is a world leader in solving naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines' sealing problems. The gaskets result from five years of continuous research and development and have been successfully proven on their own test beds for hundreds of hours, as well as on the road.
They are now available for Perkins TV8 640, Sherpa 1.8 Diesel and Leyland 400-Series turbo engines.
Nicholson claims that there is no other gasket like this available anywhere in the world. The Corruseal consists of two all-metal gaskets back to back with a centre plate in between, creating a sandwich effect. The practical benefits are claimed to be high unit loading; good heat transfer (no local hot spots); no retorque because the gasket is all metal and does not suffer from the squashiness of composite gaskets; and greatly reduce bore distortion. Fast action pallet trucks
THE BRITISH manufacturer of the fast-selling pallet truck, Pallitruck, has announced a further addition to the range by way of a pallet truck with stillage frame specially useful where high bins or platforms are used.
In some applications, a stillage frame is used to reduce operation time in pumping, to reach the base of the bin, but the NSL pallet truck pump has the added value of a two-speed pump, which in this type of situation reduced handling time to one third that of normal pallet trucks.
