DUPLE Coachbuilders reports an improvement in its fortunes.
Reduced demand for coach bodies last year cormielled the company, like most British psv suppliers, to make a large number of its workforce redundant and reorganise within the company. Now, with a new management team and working on a lower cost base for marketing and sales operations, Duple says it has been able to increase its market share and meet competition from importers with inCreasing success.
It has received more than 100 orders for its new Goldliner high-floor coach since its launch in October, has recently been able to recruit 120 production workers and has plans to recruit more to ensure that it can meet demands for new coach bodies.
