PROBLEMS of unloading in the wet have been overcome by Vanplan's latest furniture vans.
The new van has side doors that are covered by a canopy and another canopy covering the back loading door. This arrangement allows palletised loads to be put straight in through the side doors.
The van is a Bedford KDS fitted with a 30cum body built around the new hgv driver legislation so that it is free of restrictions.
The canopies work on a simple sash system with one end hooked up to the open door, and a pulley raises the other to put in position and the doors are then kept at 90 degrees.
