Tippers and tipping are the focus for next week's issue of CM, which is a big special number. Operators will be particularly interested in an on-the-spot costing of a tipper operation by lain Sherriff and a detailed examination of the progress of five tipper groups, with commentary by John Darker.
On the engineering side, a road test and operational trial of a big Foden tipper will be accompanied by a Ron Cater article on a tipping fleet's vehicles and maintenance and an examination by Paul Brockington of the reasons for choice of tipping gear.
Buyers' guides to tipper chassis, tipper bodybuilders and tipping gear manufacturers will also be published in this February 6 issue. An illustrated report of the Geneva Show, and the fortnightly review of equipment, are other contents features, while in Know the Law there will be another aspect of h.g.v. driving licences, and Management Matters will be dealing with depot planning again.
