• Confidence that during the next few years benefits will accrue from the rationalization of businesses in William Nuttall Transport Ltd. are expressed by the directors in particulars published this week in connection with the placing of 539,686 ordinary 5s shares at 14s 9d by Cazenove and Co., brokers. Dealings arc expected to commence next Monday, February 2.
The company, based at Clifton, Manchester, has made a number of acquisitions in recent months, most of them in industrial concentrations adjacent to the motorways. Currently the fleet consists of 260 vehicles and 203 trailers. One of the companies is Nuttall Eurolink Ltd. which specializes in Continental traffic and has an agreement with Neditex (Rotterdam) whereby each supplies tractors for the partner's trailers coming into its home area.
