• Autodata has produced two new workshop manuals covering vehicles built between 1988 and 2001: one covers engines fitted with timing chains and gears; the other looks at diesel vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
The 348-page Timing Chains & Gears Manual costs £39.50. it includes details on component removal for access, release and resetting of tensioner mechanisms, timing mark alignment and the removal and resetting of electronically controlled variable valve timing
actuators. There are chapters on special tools, wear limits for chains, sprockets and gears, removal and installation, and the release/resetting of tensioners.
The 704-page Diesel Data Manua costs £48.50; it covers servicing and repairs plus indicator reset procedures, belt runs and glow plug specifications plus air conditioning, braking and alignment details.
