• Britain's leading trailer axle manufacturer, Rubery Owen-Rockwell, has some exciting developments under way at its Llay base in North Wales. We have been to see and discuss them with RO-R technical director Jack Diggs.
• Another trailer company in the news is Craven Tasker, which recently became part of the giant, Trafalgar House group. We have been talking to Craven Tasker managing director, Norman Mellors, about the UK trailer market and his company's place in it.
• Leyland is about to announce the first inior changes to its Roadrunner range since it was introduced in 1984.
Newly-developed engines give more power and torque for easier driving and better fuel economy. Disc brakes produced in Germany give improved braking and easier maintenance. Inside the cab, trim changes incorporate a modification to the driver's seat.
