last week at the Truck Grand Prix held at Silverstone. On Sunday morning a turbo pipe split which cost £16 to replace from the local dealer through Dafaid.

Subsequently he battled through to gain fourth place on the grid for the last race of the afternoon before the main event — his best ever placing — but in doing so he blew a £68 head gasket.

Daf. on hand with its sponsored 3600 driven by Barry Sheene, was unable to help out with a spare.
