Killiecrankie by-pass
• The 2240 million Killiecrankie by-pass, which has taken 15 years to build, was formally opened last week.
The new road, part of the A9, stretches between Perth and the Cromartv Firth, and should allow traffic from the south of England and the Midlands to travel to the far north of Scotland without delays or speed restrictions caused by built-up areas.
