Dangerous proposals • The Health and Safety Commission has published a consultative document which contains proposals to revise and combine the two existing Approved Codes of Practice on the classification of dangerous substances for conveyance by road.
It is envisaged that such a new code would provide practical guidance on the Dangerous Substances (Conveyance by Road in Road Tankers and Tank Containers) Regula
tions 1981 (Road Tanker Regulations); the Notification of New Substances Regulations 1982; and the Classification, Packaging and Labelling of Dangerous Substances Regadations 1984 (CPL Regulations).
The consultative document is available from HMSO or booksellers, price £4.50, entitled "Revision of Approved Code of Practice. Classification and Labelling of Substances Dangerous for Supply and/or Conveyance by Road".
