A CONTRACT worth £6 m has been awarded for the construction of 54 miles of trunk road between Slochd Summit and Dalmagarry in Invernessshire by the Secretary of State for Scotland, Mr William Ross, to Whatlings Ltd. A new road will be made on an improved alignment mainly to the east of the existing A9.
