• Two directors of the Birmingham Accident Hospital. Dr. J. P. Bull and Mr. W. Gissane, who are analysing fatal accidents to lorry drivers say in an article in the British Medical Journal that it is already obvious that the majority of such deaths have been caused by the deformation, in a collision, of the cab. In the matter of safer lorry design they state that first priority would seem to be improved cab design and the next the greater security of the lorry's load.
