• • The Anglo-Swedish Road Haulage • Agreement, which was ratified on August 6. comes into force on • September 5.
• Under the agreement hauliers of • either country will be free to operate • • to or through the other country without • having to obtain a carriers licence or • a permit from that country. • British hauliers will also be per• • mined to carry goods between Sweden • and any third country, but they will not • be allowed to engage in domestic • • transport within Sweden. Similarly • Swedish hauliers may carry goods • between Great Britain and any third • • country, but may not engage in • domestic transport within the UK.
• C-licence operations are also covered • by the terms of the Agreement. • • The Goods Vehicles (Temporary Use • in Great Britain) Regulations. 1968 • (SI 1168), which give effect to the • agreement, may be obtained from • • HMSO, price 6d. •
